In case you’re wondering where I suddenly dropped off the face of the earth to? There was a snowpocalypse at our properties in Virginia and have had to deal with quite alot of property damage ;). I’ll be back posting quite soon!
I’ve heard it said that a photograph is the only time machine man possesses, no truer words were ever spoken. That moment, captured for all time in a photograph, will never come again….so LIVE it, don’t let it pass you by.
Today, we got lost. Not really lost, just decided to go for a drive and roll down the avenues and streets that we never travel. Pine Island Road is a treasure well hidden in a slightly removed area of Bluffton, SC. It’s beautiful scenery, the driftwood, the oyster beds, views of the May River…..all waiting to be soaked in by those who venture onto the side streets.
Empty swings swaying in the breeze, beckoning you come and sit a while….sit and soak in the sun on this sunny early spring day.
Picturing the South isn’t hard to do….just close your eyes and feel the breeze on your cheeks.
Lonely oats blowing in the coastal winds, waiting for summer and the return of the throngs to the shore.
